This is Booshi Neeko Again. Protecting Lamba Forest. She is drawn in Jasmine style again. I didn't quite make it to Comic Con 2008. So hoping I could make it next year.
It is the 2nd time I tried the Multiply pen technique. I hope to do more of these.
I have the boots already! One more step towards making this costume work.
Shes mad and about ready to battle (Plus she has a snout. She's mostly human except for the snout and tail but as a Goddess she could disguise her horns, tail and snout and pass for human 100%). Making this up as I go, there are evil poachers in her forest (shes a mother nature from another planet! Thats one of her jobs) and she has to protect the animals.
I have to ask- what makes you consider this japanese style? Nothing really particularly stands out as being of the stylization that commonly found in japanese manga. It looks more like an american-styled superhero.
Also, what are those three bumps/black outlines on her thigh?
Lastly, you may want to rethink the anatomy and the pose- her head feels a bit too big for the rest of her body, and her torso is facing a completely different direction than her hips as her arms, making her look deformed, even accounting for the flexibility of animation figures.
The ears (I'm assuming those things on the top of her head are) are too close together to understand what they are at first glance.
Why thank you. Yeah, I am having techical difficulties with the anatomy. But I am working on it.
Japanaese style (this one is more jasmine disney like and I started off that way but I killed the giant eyes and eyeball shine a long time ago.) I like my characters looking more realistic like He-Man because He-Man is my main inspiration however, I might be way off from He-Man anymore. My faces don't represent the japanese head shape because of my style I prefer using different shapes (I drew from the Brian Lemay Character design book as well as Glen Vilpuu). Her ears are from Brian Lemay also.
